Beauty Tip!

Beauty Tip

Are you looking for the right cleanser for your skin type? If you have oily skin, try using a glycerin-based soap. It will cleanse the skin without stripping it of essential oils and the glycerin will draw moisture into the skin. Never use a bath or body soap on your face. It will strip your skin and leave an unwanted residue. @RLEveryday www.redlettereveryday.com #skincare #cleansers #beautytip

Perricone MD Hypoallergenic Gentle Cleanser is a gentle facial cleanser that makes the mark!

Finding the correct product to wash your face with twice a day can be tougher than you think. On average most women wash and rinse their face for about 10-15 seconds! Wow! You wash your hands for 30 seconds (or should) after a restroom break – doesn’t your face deserve some TLC after a day of make-up and environmental grime?

And did you know if your face is freshly washed and exfoliated that your correct and prevent products will work better because they are on the skin rather than on the day-old make-up and grime that are on the skin.

Be sure to select a cleanser that is right for your skin type and issues (acne, sensitivity, dry, oily, etc…).

To properly cleanse your face, at night use a gentile make-up cloth/remover to remove most of your make up; wet your face with warm (not hot) water; take a dime to nickel size of cleanser and gently wash you face for about 45 seconds with your fingers; rinse with warm water for 15 seconds until all the product is washed away (including your hairline); rinse with cold water (closes the pores); and pat dry. From here you can apply your correct/prevent products.

I’ve been testing several cleansers to see if they can actually hold for a 30-45 second wash. You’d be surprised how many become thin and watery very quickly. Perricone MD Hypoallergenic Gentle Cleanser is one that can keep cleansing! I’ve used two bottles in my testing, and it has held out for a full 60 seconds – every single time. The 8oz bottle runs about $40, but it lasts about 3 months. It has a light fragrance and silky, thick texture.

If you have sensitive skin, this is an excellent choice! Let me know what you think!
